Opera in Concert
Featuring soloists from
The Opera Project
|
The Opera Project, founded by Canada's internationally known soprano, Heidi Klassen, provides a unique opportunity for Canadian singers. No other opera company exists solely to train and present emerging Canadian artists to the public, and to help bridge the gap between training and establishing a career. Sinfonia is proud to share the stage with these singers in a program of familiar overtures, arias, duos and other ensemble pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Puccini, Strauss, and more!
This is Sinfonia's Annual Fundraiser, and we are always indebted to our loyal audience for their unflagging attendance and support. Sinfonia musicians will generously donate their musical services. Enjoy chamber music in the Centennial Theatre Lobby as you browse the many Silent Auction items. Thank you all for keeping the music alive and well, right here on the beautiful North Shore.
Season subscription does not include this special fundraising event.

The Opera Project
The Opera Project is an established professional company that originated in Winnipeg in 1997. In 1998 The Opera Project (TOP) was incorporated as a charitable organization to present singers with serious talent and ambition for the stage, an opportunity to engage professionally in principal roles with remuneration.
Having relocated to Vancouver, The Opera Project along with the company's Founder and Director, Heidi Klassen, is presenting it's face to local audiences.
The Opera the only opera company in Canada that exists for the sole purpose of training and presenting young Canadian artists to the public and bridging the gap between their training and establishing a career. In addition TOP invites established professionals from various artistic communities to work along-side these selected singers to hone their skills and provide opportunity for future professional engagements in a broader arena.
